ALUMINIUM
Precautions in the installation and care of aluminum profiles:

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
Aluminum profiles are manufactured by extrusion. The finish is obtained by anodizing or lacquering, depending on the model.
Aluminum profiles do not require special care, since lacquering or anodizing creates a protective coating that will remain in place during normal use.
However, the rules for cleaning and installation, common to all aluminum products, must be observed. If an oxidation film forms on the aluminum profile, it can be removed with common polishing products. However, if the anodized finish is damaged, it can only be repaired by applying a coat of lacquer.
If the product is expected to be exposed to aggressive chemicals during normal use, it should be checked beforehand for its suitability for the proposed use.

INSTALLATION
The elements commonly used in the laying of cladding and flooring, and therefore in the laying of profiles, become alkaline when they come into contact with moisture. Since aluminum is sensitive to alkaline substances, exposure for too long will irreversibly damage the product by corrosion, with the formation of aluminum hydroxides. It is therefore very important to IMMEDIATELY remove all traces of cement glue, adhesives or gasket residues from the visible surfaces of the part. It is also important to ensure that the profile is completely bonded to the fastening material, avoiding any gaps in which alkaline water can accumulate.
The cleaning of the profiles is done by using a non-aggressive cloth or sponge (never use scouring pads or other abrasive elements) moistened with clean water or even with some type of neutral soap. It is very important that the water is clean so as not to drag dissolved materials on the profile. Profiles should never be cleaned by applying strong acid or alkaline cleaners (commonly used to remove mortar and grout residues from ceramic tiles). Products such as trisodium phosphate, phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, perchloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, fluorides in general, caustic soda and ammonia should never be applied. The application of solvents containing haloalkanes should also be avoided, as well as the use of setting accelerators containing chlorides (use chloride-free accelerators).

MAINTENANCE
As for the daily care of the profiles, they should be cleaned with lukewarm water and neutral detergent. As indicated in the previous paragraph, alkaline or acid detergents should not be used, nor should powder detergents or abrasive elements, which can scratch the product. Do not use organic solvents or clean with very hot water. Cleaning with steam cleaners is strongly discouraged.
The profile must be rinsed after cleaning, and it is also advisable to dry the piece.
*Unless expressly indicated otherwise,
profiles are only recommended for indoor use.
